The pattern of the song is first verse twice, second verse once, chorus; second verse twice, third verse once, chorus; and so on. Every verse ends with the line: La ziguezon zun zon. 
ìAn Droî or ìfull circleî refers to the cycle of the footsteps in the dance.
It is a very old dance, perhaps hearkening back into the Neolithic, at least as far back as the early Kurgan period in the area of Brittany.
