Origin---Sufi
Choreographer---traditional
Notes
I (Shaker) first learned this when studying with Yakzan Valdez, now gone on, of Brazil and Hawaii.
He would begin absolutely every Sacred Dance session with this dance.  All dancers would sing the incantation.  The voice is centered in the Heart.  Perhaps the eyes would be closed.  If they are open, they are drinking and allowing themselves to be drunken rather than observing.  Leave the planning mind outside to play with the dogs.  It will still be there when the evening is over, then you can take it homew and feed it.
The dance consists of an undulating side step during the repitiions of "Bismillah"
and a turn (or spin) once twice or three times
(according to the facilitator's discretion)
during the er rahman, er rahim
During the spin, annihilate yourself in The One.
During the partnering, witness yet another manifestation of the Myriad.
