Notes
The slow version of Skopski Cocek
The common Gaida (several dances bear the name) is originally from the town of Florina in Macedonia and is popular all over Macedonia. It takes its name from the primitive Balkan bagpipe which was once popular in northern Greece but which has been replaced by the clarinet in most areas. It is in 2/4 time, first slow and then gradually faster. The basic foot pattern is similar to the Hasaposerviko, although the style is distinctive.
