Serbian Love Song
The whole dance has a languorous, oriental feel to it. All movements
are
relaxed and flow from one into the other. This version is not the
original version of South Serbia, but is close.
ìOy Lelele, my heart is burning,î
Rumi said ìI want burning!î
When one allows ones self to feel the pain of the yearnings of
ones Heart, this ëpainí (or deep sensation) may be used as a solid, truly
experienced path of stepping stones into the Heart. The thing is, one needs
to be ready for this, as the pain only becomes greater until, at last unbearable,
there is another dimension met.
If you or your circle is not prepared for the long haul of this
journey, it is better to let the dance Cano Duso remain simply as a soft
love song, which has a quite enjoyable and soft opening of the heart quality
to it.
Words in English
Shana, my sweetheart,
Open the door for me
Open the door, Shana
And I'll give you some ducats.
Oy Lelele, my heart is burning,
My heart is burning, Shana, for you.
Night is coming, beautiful Shana,
I am filled with grief.
Because your beauty, Shana,
Won't let me sleep.
