The sentiment expressed in this simple song seems to many folk at first glance to be simple minded and slightly rediculous. 
While it is true that the material realms and the spiritual realms are part and parcel of the same Breath of Creation, and that we should, as the Kadith says, 
"Trust in Allah, but tie your CAmel anyways",
you will never hear an older person say that he worked too little and played too much.
There is a gold of the Heart which far outshines and certainly outlasts the gold of our bank accounts.

This is an excellent dance to open an evening. The steps are simple, so simple I often do not even teach them beforehand, and the quality of the dance is community and joy.
