Karagouna (Part Two)

Associations--- Thessaly
Tapes Found On--- Dancing Circles
Origin---Greece
Choreographer---traditional
Notes
This dance comes from Thessaly. "Karagouna" is a word referring to the farmers of the Thessalian plains; translated literally, it means black coat, but the Karagounes don't wear black coats and no one is sure why the name is applied to them. The dance is actually comprised of a mix of several dances.
