This dance comes from Thessaly. "Karagouna" is a word referring
to the farmers of the Thessalian plains; translated literally, it means
black coat, but the Karagounes don't wear black coats and no one is sure
why the name is applied to them. The dance is actually comprised of a mix
of several dances.
