Notes
Done in a closed or open circle or in a spiral.
The MiserLou is a recreation of the Syrtos Kritikos.
When the Greek immigrants of the Philadelphia community wanted to remember the old dance, they created in their vague memories the MiserLou to a tango beat.
Bernard, in a paper on Sacred dance,
describes this dance as ëan open labyrinth dance ... moving into the center (darkness) and out again into the light... the dance spirals into the center
in an anti-clockwise direction, to meet the sun.î
