I have long been trying to reach a standardized notation in circle dance. Here are most of the more commonly used notations. Some can learn a dance from the notations only. Most need to dance it first and use the notations as reminders.
If you come away from a dance session thinking that the teacher was a great dancer but you just couldnít get the steps, avoid that teacher. They are either inept or are vain and do not truly wish to teach.
