Walking in The Moment

Life can be so playful in teaching us of the Living Wonder of Time and Space. How much of this is a Living Spirit within our Hearts?

The first time I heard this music was in the early 1980's.
A friend I had not seen in a few years came to my apartment to visit.
Now, it must be said that this friend is one of those people whom The Wonder of Life has chosen to continually touch.
Where~as most of us have needed to learn how to open the gates of our heart to hear, to feel and to understand, this person, who sometimes goes by the name Michelle, needed to learn how to close her heart.
Where~ever she was, she was always naturally totally open to the hearts and souls of others, be they human or tree or wind. This may seem all very fine, but the implications of this are great and difficult to live with. Most of us have covered our hearts with tiny and not so tiny shiny and sometimes rusty needles. Sometimes we have plunged a ragged and rusty dagger into our own heart.
Michelle felt all of these. At times, simply by walking past a stranger, she would fall into a flow of tears and painful sorrow.
Her Gate to the Deeper Life was wide open, and she did not yet know how to close and open at will.
None~the~less, she carried her understanding of others' darkness with a compassion so clear and true that it was always a moving experience to be with her. She was kind of like the scruffiest angle who is the greatest teacher.
There was magic afoot, I came to know well,
when~ever Michelle Denise was there.
This particular evening Michelle showed up at there door unannounced and very unexpectedly. We invited her in for supper, but she said she could only visit a short while as she was on her way to Cambridge to attend a showing of "My Dinner with Andre". I had not yet heard of the movie. It was just then being introduced, though Michelle had already seen it several times. To this day I don't know if she had actually seen it or if she had just been 'opened' deep within her Gate to it. She did, however, know all about the movie and, as soon as she had put on a tape for us to hear (Deuter, Cicada), she sipped her tea and animatedly described how the movie was a major breakthrough for the media
Off she went into the evening, ever walking in magic time, but before she left she told us that she must meet with Andre and Peter to congratulate them. Remember, Michelle is at this time a street person, wandering where~ere the wind may carry.
Several days later she returned.
And, yes, of course the following had occurred. Such is to be expected with Michelle.
She had arrived in Cambridge early, sure of conversing with Andre, and had gone to a deli for a bagel and tea. The bagel and tea upon her tray, she turned from the cashier to find seated directly before her...
of course...
Andre and Peter.
"You wont believe this..." I am sure she was giggling as she stood by their table and introduced herself, "but I have come to have dinner with you."
'So they invited me to sit,' Michelle told us those several days later when she revisited before blowing away for years into the wind again, 'and it was just like the movie. They are true people'
The term 'true people' had sincere and extensive connotations to it.
In it was the implication that a person's heart was alive
in our own time,
in our own living sacred space.
Not too many needles and daggers.
